COMPREHENSIVE RESOURCE SCHEDULING DASHBOARDS

The scheduling dashboards provide up to date information about your resource capability and utilization levels directly to your desktop, in a simple format. Resource schedules can be viewed in monthly, weekly and daily formats, enabling you to identify and schedule role-based resource requests and highlighting any resourcing conflicts. The resource scheduling solution allows you to specify resource lists to analyze schedules by role, skill, location, department, team, project or any user-defined variable color code by project, confirmed/provisional and utilization.

GANTT BASED SCHEDULING

Our Solution enables you to easily schedule resources to project tasks. The dynamic Gantt based scheduling view provides a color coded overview of resource assignments based on their chargeable status and whether the assignment is confirmed or provisional. Bespoke resource lists can be defined enabling the analysis of resource assignments by Project Teams, Departments, Skill Groups, Roles or any user defined criteria. Each resource can be expanded to analyze the projects and tasks to which they have been assigned. New task assignments can be allocated by simply selecting any available time.

DIRECT SCHEDULING

For ad hoc and short term scheduling the solution includes an intuitive weekly schedule view which displays a breakdown of resource assignments, daily across each week. To simplify the scheduling process any project flagged as available for direct scheduling can easily be scheduled via the Calendar view. Users simply select the day they wish to allocate a resource to and select the appropriate project from the drop down list. For direct scheduling projects there is no need to select a project task making it extremely useful for scheduling ad hoc meetings or assignments not related to a project plan. A time saving and highly intuitive feature for team leaders or resource managers is the ability to search directly from the calendar view for any outstanding tasks which can be used to fulfill resources availability.

UTILIZATION ANALYSIS

Our Resource Scheduling functionality enables organizations to easily assess the utilization of resources across weeks or months. Using color coding to graphically illustrate utilization levels, resource managers can easily identify periods of under and over utilization and dynamically search for any outstanding tasks which can fulfill resource availability. In addition, allocated time, availability and overall resource capability can be analyzed.

REQUEST MANAGEMENT

To ensure the Project Planning and Resource Scheduling processes are fully integrated, Our Solution enables roles to be allocated to tasks in order to generate resource requests. Resource requests can be displayed as role based assignments on your project plans and resource schedules in order to easily identify where resource allocations are required. In addition, the Scheduling Dashboard includes a dedicated resource request tab where users can display all outstanding resource requests by role as well as identifying any under-allocated tasks. Scheduling a resource request is simple, by default when a user searches for a resource the solution automatically picks up the required dates, effort, role and skills from the underlying request – this ensures the Resource Manager need only click search in order to find a suitable, available resource to allocate to the request.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Our Solution provides a simple tool to identify any resourcing conflicts. Whenever a project plan is rescheduled, a resource is double booked or a replacement is required due to sickness, any associated resource conflicts are summarized to the end user via the Resource Conflicts view. Managing out conflicts couldn’t be easier, by simply selecting the conflict that requires resolution the solution will automatically inherit the profile of the underlying resource in order to identify the best available replacement.
